With the release of this report, Evaluating Vibrant Communities: 2002-2010, the individuals,
non-profit organizations, businesses, policymakers and funders who make up Vibrant Communities
have begun to:

   • Look back at the conception and implementation of Vibrant Communities
   • Identify results achieved
   • Clarify factors critical to success
   • Distinguish different patterns for manifesting the overall approach

The initial findings of the evaluation are a first cut at answering key questions using existing
and readily available data. The report investigates how the local collaborations organized and
the contributions they were able to make to reducing poverty in their communities.
