Submitted by Natasha Pei on October 7, 2016 - 3:49am

This month we are looking at how we can include youth as leaders and mobilizers in our collaborative poverty reduction work. In July's edition of Cities Connect you will find:

  • Successes and lessons from our Cities Reducing Poverty members: Whitehorse, Yukon. The Yukon Anti-Poverty Coalition shares how including youth in their poverty reduction awareness, advocacy, and activities is acting as a form of poverty reduction in itself.
  • The living wage - learn how the living wage campaign is changing the conversation about poverty and policy in Whitehorse, and how the new Canada Child Benefit is helping to lower living wage rates.
  • Tools & Resources for Inclusion: funding opportunities, evaluation resources, practical toolkits, and the case for including youth in your collaborative poverty reduction initaitive
  • ...and more!
