A Vibrant Communities Canada Webinar Series: Social Innovation

Thursday, September 14, 2017
Yassaman Nouri

Overview of the Series

This webinar series will explore three ways to help community builders design and implement sustainable solutions for the social and/or environmental challenges they are tasked with addressing.

The first webinar will explore how alternative business structures can help organizations grow sustainably and increase their social impact in their local communities.

The second webinar will help organizations identify and assess alternative sources and forms of finance to scale their work in their communities.

The third webinar will dig deeper to challenge and shift the thinking of community builders from linear thinking to systems thinking. This shift in thinking can be leveraged to better understand the complexities of some of our biggest social and environmental challenges today, and identify how activities of individual organizations can have positive and negative impacts in their community. We will conclude by connecting this new understanding, to explore ways in which community builders can leverage partnerships across their communities to drive positive system changes.
