A Blueprint for Reducing Poverty in Alberta

Vibrant Communities Calgary and Action of End Poverty in Alberta formally launched Poverty Costs 2.0: Investing in Albertans, a report that outlines a blueprint for reducing poverty in the province.

The report follows up on Poverty Costs: An Economic Case for a Preventative Poverty Reduction Strategy for Alberta released in 2012. As the Government of Alberta moves towards its goal to end child poverty in five years and reduce overall poverty in 10 years, this report offers recommendations to the provincial government that will have a significant impact in reducing poverty.
